The faith of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark (ELCD) is a Christian church in the Protestant tradition. As such the ELCD confesses the triune God. It proclaims justification by faith alone and practises two sacraments: Baptism, normally of infants, and the Eucharist as the fellowship of all baptised.
The ELCD is founded on the basis of the Bible as well as of the three Ecumenical Creeds, the Augsburg Confession and Luther’s Small Catechism.
