To search for a person in the archives, some basic information is required. This is due to the nature of the records in the Danish State Archives. The records gathered are the results of contributions from hundreds of local agencies, and there is no overall master index. To find the relevant record and start searching you need some basic information, e.g. the person's full name, date and place of birth, marriage or death.
